The Winter Swap had a cookie/holiday theme. The package was to include a full or half apron, at least one favorite cookie recipe, a cookie cutter, and any other little treats that relate to the theme: sprinkles, chocolate chips, sugars, etc.
I found the perfect fabrics for a reversible apron. Christmas green covered with mugs of cocoa. What's better with cookies than a hot mug of cocoa with marshmallows and a peppermint stick! The fabric is swirled with gold threads.
The reverse side is a pretty Christmas red with snowflakes in gold. For the accents on the red side I used a holly fabric, also with gold threads.
I trimmed a tea towel with the red fabric and added a set of cookie cutters and some cookie decorations.
I couldn't decide on just one cookie recipe so I made a little cookbooklet of several of my favorite bar cookies and a few candy recipes.
Happy Holidays Cheryl! I hope you enjoy your wearing your apron while making some festive goodies for those you love.............

very pretty apron, makes me cozy about xmas! and lord knows I love xmas. where did you find material like that?
I found this fabric at Joann's, where I spend a good portion of my free time (and money!)
I also have a Wal-Mart close by that still has a great fabric section (some don't anymore)
...and I LOVE shopping for fabric online, too. It ends up costing me more, but if it's for something that I HAVE to have for a project and can't find it anywhere else then I bite the bullet and buy it.
This apron is beautiful. I am Cheryl's daughter. She got her apron today and loves it!! Thank you!
